Dear Neighbors:
Please do not trim trees on
or near your property during nesting season. Nesting season in our area
runs roughly from late January through July.
Spring is also the growth
period for most of our local trees and not the time to trim.
Shown here is a tiny humming bird nest with two chicks on day 12 and day 19 after birth. They are very difficult to spot high up in trees.
Thanks for caring about our avian residents as well as the health of our trees.
